I’m writing a short film and I was wondering what legal drugs my character could use to stay awake during long hours at night, and then eventually will cause her to hallucinate pretty scary stuff?

amphetamines adderall vyvance increase alertness decrease in sleep and appetite and abuse can cause psychosis which can include hallucination extreme anxiety paranoia.. even high continuous use of caffeine can cause psychosis and so does sleep deprivation.

i dont think there is such a drug. but you could make her get sick from being so fatigued and then she could take some niquil or something, if you stay up on that you hallucinate
